What is the shelf life of World Harbors® sauce? All of our products have a "date code". The date code can be considered a "Best when used by date". The "Best when used by date" is stamped on the side of the bottle near the UPC code.

For instance, the bottle may read "017151".

017151 - is the "best when used by date"
01 - is the production code
7 - is the year in which the product is best when used by (in this example, 2007)
151 - is the day of the year that the product is "best used by" (in this example, May 31st ).

We recommend storing World Harbors sauce and marinades in a cool, dry place. To assure the best quality and flavor from our sauce, we recommend that you use it on or before the "best when used by" date.

Does World Harbors® sauce require refrigeration? Once opened, our products do require refrigeration.

How long will the sauce stay fresh in the refrigerator? Our sauces will retain their flavor for 3 months while stored in the refrigerator.

Are World Harbors® sauces gluten free? All of our World Harbors sauces and marinades have been lab tested and were found to be below .0078% for gluten which is the lowest testable level.

Are World Harbors® sauces Kosher?
All of our World Harbors and Angostura sauce & marinades are Kosher-Parve.

My new bottle of Sweet 'n Sour tastes spicy. Did you change the recipe? All World Harbors products contain many spices and herbs, some of which come in concentrated form. Sometimes there are natural variations in the pungency of an annual crop harvest of some of those ingredients, particularly in peppers such as paprika. Recently we have found that the heat level of the Sweet 'n Sour has fluctuated due to an increased pungency of the paprika crop.
All of our products are sampled for taste as well as other factors before they are bottled to make certain that they meet specifications. If something does not fall between certain specifications we will not pack it. We have found that the pungency of peppers seems to intensify over time and the difference was not picked up at the time of packing. In order to compensate for the variation in the paprika we have made adjustments to offset the increased heat level so that the flavor of the product will be more consistent with what our loyal consumers expect.
